It's official. I am a BLOGGER!

So, this is my first official blog. I'm doing it.
The other night, or morning as it was 3 a.m., I woke up thinking, "I need to start a blog." For those of you that know me, you are probably rolling your eyes thinking that I am going on another one of my tangents, like wanting to open a store, write a book, or learn to reupholster furniture. Instead of just starting one like normal people do, I researched, made a list, then asked everyone I know their advice. Everyone said " Just start." Okay, dang!

My life today consists of laundry, listening to the kids sing with microphones on the amp, and watching True Blood. It is a good day. Yesterday, not so much. Let's just say I was so cranky that my preacher asked my husband if I was okay and then moments later literally prayed (in front of our entire church) for those "not feeling well or having a bad morning." I think everyone turned and looked at me. Not good. Think I owe a bunch of people an apology. But, today, today is a good day.

WHAT I AM WATCHING:
pretty much everything.
True Blood, Burn Notice, In Plain Sight, So You Think You Can Dance, The Bachelorette, Daisy of Love (shut up.), Army Wives, Harper's Island, and probably more that I just can't think of right now. That is just my summer lineup. My husband and I have separate DVRs so that he can record all of his shows and I can record mine. So far, our marriage is very smooth and I attribute it to our DVRs. Seriously, he watches sports, news, and boring documentaries. To quote my dear daughter, "B is for boring".
If any of you watch my shows, I would love to discuss them!

WHAT I AM READING:
I started the True Blood Series. For those of you that loved Twilight, you will enjoy these! Just an adult version. More on this later as I am just getting started...

WHAT I AM LISTENING TO (besides my kiddos):
Joshua Radin - specifically You Got Growing Up To Do featuring Patti Griffin
Coconut Records - lead singer is Jason Schwartzman, actor from Rushmore and The Darjeeling Unlimited
Fiction Family - dudes from Switchfoot and Nickel Creek
Neko Case
The Weepies
I'm loving a folky sound right now.

Funny quote of the day: The kids at my daughter's soccer party were hurling insults at one another and this was my favorite - "Yeah, well you have high cholesterol!"
What??? This kid is 6.
